Mit dem Bereich Akademie fördert Energybirds den fundierten Wissenstransfer auf dem Gebiet der nachhaltigen Energien. Des Weiteren leisten wir damit einen Beitrag für das bessere Verständnis in der Gesellschaft. Alle Module stammen aus dem Bereich Klimawandel und Nachhaltigkeit. Alle Module können durch kurze Experimente ergänzt werden. Die aktuellen Module sind:

Im Modul „Klimawandel“ erläutern wir ausführlich die Ursachen und Folgen des Klimawandels und gehen auf das Prinzip des CO₂-Fußabdruckes ein. Anschließend wollen wir kurz interaktiv Ideen erarbeiten, wie man das Klima schützen kann. Das Modul ist außerdem um weitere Aspekte wie der Idee der CO₂-Speicherung (CCS) erweiterbar. Unser zweites Modul: „Was kann ich tun?“ setzt den Fokus auf Ideen und die Umsetzbarkeit von klimaschützenden Aktivitäten. Gemeinsam erarbeiten wir Dinge, die jeder einzelne tun kann, um das Klima zu schützen. Anschließend quantifizieren wir diese mit den jeweiligen CO₂-Einsparpotentialen. Der Aachener Klimaparcours wurde 2009 vom Eine Welt Forum Aachen und KreaScientia gGmbH im Rahmen der Kampagne „Heiße Zeiten, nimm das Klima in die Hand“ des Eine Welt Netz NRW ins Leben gerufen. Dieser fand seitdem fast jährlich statt und wurde von der KreaScientia gGmbH organisiert. Seit 2017 hat Energybirds die Organisation übernommen. Ziel des Aachener Klimaparcours ist es, Jugendlichen in Aachen die unterschiedlichen Handlungsmöglichkeiten im Bezug auf den Klimawandel aufzuzeigen. Hierbei wird besonderer Wert auf die Verbindung zur Lebenswelt der Jugendlichen gelegt. Die teilnehmenden Organisationen engagieren sich im Klimaschutz und haben ihren Sitz überwiegend im Zentrum der Aachener Innenstadt. Zahlreiche der Aktionen und Handlungsmöglichkeiten können von den Jugendlichen direkt umgesetzt werden.

Der Energybirds Think Tank ist unsere Plattform zur Auseinandersetzung mit den vielfältigen und komplexen Zusammenhängen der Energie- und Nachhaltigkeitslandschaft. Für spannende Vorträge laden wir Vertreter aus der Industrie, Universitäten, Vereinen oder Startups ein und diskutieren anschließend gemeinsam über die präsentierten Inhalte. Die Inhalte und somit auch die Diskussionen können sich von konkretem Detailwissen bis hin zu allgemeinen Übersichten mehrerer Themen erstrecken.
